For the last few years, one of the most anticipated pieces of technology in the world has been virtual reality headsets. While versions of VR have been around for over ten years, it has finally looked like the technology was available to make it smoother and more functional. In the past year several companies have released new VR products that looked like good steps in the progression of the technology.
While there has been some progress in the field of VR, many people and experts believe that we are still 20+ years away from a high-quality product that will provide crystal clear resolution. While it seemed like it would take awhile still to get to the point of having clear resolution in a VR headset, one company is soon going to be releasing a new product that will provide the clearest resolution by far in history.
One of the most followed tech companies in the industry today is Varjo, which is in the process of developing and finalizing its VR headset. The resolution on this new headset is expected to be by far the clearest of all time. The headset’s resolution will provide up to 70 megapixels per image, which is much clearer than current models that produce and provide only around 1.2 megapixels.
At this point, Varjo is still nearing the end of their development phase. However, they have started providing experts in the industry the chance to try out a beta version of the product. The current version provides someone with the ability to quickly compare the new product with other existing VR programs and the results are said to be very astounding.
While most people consider VR to be available for entertainment purposes, the CEO of Varjo, Urho Konttori, has stated the uses of VR are endless. He foresees a situation in a few years where his VR headset is used for a variety of functional purposes including training, simulations, and a variety of different types of therapy
Many experts also believe that VR will someday be used commonly in the workplace. There seems to be a lot of different situations in which people could use the VR headset to create a virtual office space. This can help people see more connected, even when they are working out of different offices from across the world. Others will be able to use the product to provide more security and privacy.
